In January of 2008 Reality Office were successful in winning the order from Abiomed to fit out their first new UK Office. The desking and storage was from the Elite Optima range and the seating was manufactured by Systems Seating. The Abiomed Managers were instrumental in choosing to go with Reality and the following are their views on the process.
"Abiomed are an American company which manufactures and supplies a range of cardiac assist pumps which can be used to assist patients failing hearts during surgery or while they recover. Reality Office were very useful in helping Abiomed to set up our UK head office. Given just an empty room it is very useful to have someone help plan workstations, storage, cabling solutions etc. thinking not just about the needs you have today but also how you may expand in the future.
The office we now have is both aesthetically pleasing and professional. David helped and guided us to choose both a layout and furniture which works very well together. This prevented us from potentially making many mistakes for example choosing storage with doors could have made our office difficult to work in.
Reality not only designed the layout and supplied our office furniture but also our stock / dispatch room and even supplied and fitted a worktop in our small kitchen! The bulk of our order was delivered and installed within days of us placing an order. The installation team were not only courteous but very good humoured - even after discovering everything had to be carried up four flights of stairs!
We chose Reality Office because we like to work with local companies rather than companies who have no customer face. We were very impressed by the quick delivery.
Our chairs had to be delivered a few days after the rest of the furniture and when these were brought to our office the driver had to wait around for us as we had been delayed with a life saving emergency at the time. The driver was extremely patient in the circumstances, and this enabled us to concentrate on what we were doing at the time.
All in all we found our experience with Reality Office to be fruitful and anticipate using them again in future as our team enlarges."
